The documentary shows the life of four young Nicaraguans, who each work for an uncertain future, in their own way. In Nicaragua almost one out of five kids younger than 14 is working. As one of the poorest countries on the continent, child labour is an insoluble part of Nicaraguan culture.

The reporters travelled through an authentic countryside and sweltering cities, where the line between child labour and just helping sometimes seemed to fade.

How do children get stuck in a situation where working looks like the better option. And what drives them to do things differently than the generation before them?
